ABOUT Black masoor dal !! RECIPE

A healthy simple recipe of a delicious dal, to be served with some steamed hot rice on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Black masoor dal - 1 big cup
  2. Onion - 2 finely chopped
  3. Tomato- 2 finely chopped
  4. Ginger & Garlic - 1tbspn chopped
  5. Green chilly- 2 finely chopped
  6. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tspn
  7. Red chilly pwdr - 1 tspn
  8. Goda masala - 1 tspn
  9. Ghee- 1 tspn
  10. Oil- 1 tbspn
  11. Mustard seeds - 1 tspn
  12. Jeera- half tspn
  13. Coriander leaves for garnish
  14. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the dal and pressure cook it and keep aside
  2. Now take a kadai put oil and ghee...When hot put mustard and jeera
  3. After it splutters put the chopped ginger,garlic,green chilly & onions....Saute well for a few minutes....
  4. Then put the masalas.....And salt.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes.....Cook till soft.....
  6. Now add the cooked dal.... Pour sufficient water and bring to boil ....
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  8. Serve hot with rice or roti
