Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Moong dal _ one small cup
  2. Carrots _2_3
  3. Onion_ 1
  4. Green chillies_3
  5. Cloves_ 4
  6. Cinnamon_ 1/2 inch
  7. Jeera_ 1/2 tsp
  8. Aijwan or carom seeds _ 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Fresh ginger_ 1/2 inch
  11. Curry leaves_ 5_6
  12. Coriander leaves_ 2 sticks
  13. Corn flour_ 1 tsp
  14. gram flour or chikpea_ 1 tsp
  15. Oil _ to fry pakodas

Instructions

  1. Soak moong dal in water for three to four hours.
  2. Make a fine paste in a mixer, ( Don't add water) with out adding water & keep it aside.
  3. Make a paste of chillies, chopped fresh ginger and jeera, and carom seeds & keep it aside
  4. Then peel and grate carrots. Peel and cut onion into small pieces. Chop coriander leaves and Curry leaves.
  5. Make a powder of cinnamon, cloves. Add this all to moong dal dough .
  6. Add salt and one tsp corn flour and besan ( gramflour). Mix it well. Make pakodas .
  7. Heat oil & fry pakodas. Serve hot pakodas with tea.
