ABOUT Ragda Chaat RECIPE

Most liked and comfort food ,as appreciated and loved by me and my family this Ragda Chaat is a meal itself .The white vatana as its called in Maharashtra sufed matar in lentils makes this.Soaked at least 6 hours boiled and spiced used with variety of chutneys as is or with bread,pav or Aloo tikkis.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 200 grams Ragda /white peas
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 1 tspn haldi
  4. 1/2 tspn red chilli powder
  5. 1 tspn cummin powder
  6. 2 tblspn green chutney(corriander and mint )
  7. 2 tblspn Tamarind chutney /red chilli chutney
  8. 1 small onion chopped
  9. Some fresh corriander chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak Ragda overnight or 6-7 hours
  2. Boil this in water,with salt ,turmeric and chilli powder
  3. Add at least 750 ml water,boil in pressure cooker 20-25 minutes
  4. If the Ragda seems watery,cook in open cooker it soak fast ,remove in a bowl
  5. Now cool little
  6. Chop the onion fine and the corriander too
  7. Keep Chutneys ready
  8. Garnish with corriander,onion,Chutneys and serve
  9. Mix all and enjoy this complete Meal
