ABOUT Green paniyaram RECIPE

This is a typical south Indian breakfast , and this is extra healthy as this has sprouts in them.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sprouted Moong - 1 cup
  2. Raw Rice - 1/4 cup
  3. Green Chilies
  4. Ginger
  5. Cumin seeds
  6. Asafoetida powder
  7. Salt
  8. spinach

Instructions

  1. Soak overnight Whole Green Gram / Moond dal with rice in enough water. The next day rinse with fresh water and drain and keep aside.
  2. Using a blender / mixer grind the green chili, ginger and cumin seeds in pulse mode for few times,and boiled spinach.
  3. Now add the soaked moong dal & rice and grind to a coarse batter adding little water.Grind coarsely for thick adai or to a thin smooth paste if making crispy dosas- adjust water accordingly
  4. Add salt, asafoetida powder and mix well.
  5. Now Heat the appe pan and add the dosa batter and fry for 5 min until it is golden and crispy
