ABOUT Daal Maharani With Rice And Salad RECIPE

One of my recently tasted restaurant style daal maharani which are fully flavourful, comfortable and healthy dish for all kind of age group. Daal Maharani is quick and easy to make and delicious to serve with your rice and roti for healthy day . This dish made with tuver and moong daal ,added green spices with some flavourful dry spices from our regular kitchen. This loved by my kids very much :ok_hand::heart_eyes:

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tuver daal 1/2 cup
  2. Yellow Moong daal 1/2 cup
  3. Water 2 glass
  4. Fine Chopped tomato 1
  5. Fine chopped white onion 1
  6. Fine chopped green onion 2 tbs
  7. Fine chopped green garlic 1/2 cup
  8. Crushed green chilli 2
  9. Grated ginger 1 small piece
  10. Chopped fresh coriander leaves 2 tbs
  11. Butter 2 tbs
  12. Jerra 1/4 tsp
  13. Rai 1/4 tsp
  14. Hing 1/4 tsp
  15. Bay leaf 1
  16. Dry red chilli 2
  17. For masala potli :-
  18. Cloves 2-3
  19. Star anise 1
  20. Badi elichy 1
  21. Cinnamon stick 1 medium piece
  22. Salt as your taste
  23. Turmeric powder 1/8 + 1/2 tsp
  24. Kashmiri Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  25. Dhaniya jeera powder 1 tbs
  26. For serving :-
  27. Steamed rice
  28. Salad

Instructions

  1. Wash and soaked both daal in one bowl for 10 minute.
  2. After that drain the water and add daal in cooker with 1 and 1/2 glass water.
  3. Take a small muslin cloth and keep badi elichy, cinnamon stick, star anise and cloves and make potli.
  4. Add 1/8 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp salt in cooker.
  5. Add masala potli in cooker with daal and give 3-4 whistle.
  6. Now for tadka heat pan and add butter in it.
  7. Add jeera and rai for tempering.
  8. Add hing, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and dry red chilli, bay leaf, green garlic and saute for a minute.
  9. Add both chopped onion grated ginger , crushed green chilli and saute for 3-4 minute.
  10. Add tomato and cook for 5 minute or till it turn like a gravy.
  11. Now add kashmiri red chilli powder and dhaniya jeera powder,
  12. Now remove masala potli from cooker and add daal in kadai .
  13. Add salt to your taste and add little water if needed.
  14. Bring it to boil for next 8-10 minute.
  15. Check the consistency of daal as your wish.
  16. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice and roti.
