ABOUT Muttapam (Egg fritters) RECIPE

Malabar famous breakfast is muttapam.Its eaten plain with sugar or savoured with meat curries.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 3 cups white rice
  2. 1 1/2 cups Parboiled rice
  3. 1 3/4 cup Water
  4. Salt
  5. Oil to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Soak the white rice for a couple of hours.
  2. Drain and blend it with cooked Parboiled rice.
  3. Use very less amount of water.
  4. Adjust salt.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.(I have used kuzhipaniyaram chatti)
  6. Scoop out the batter and pour in to the oil.
  7. When done flip to the other side .
  8. Once done drain it in a kitchen tissue.
  9. Serve with sugar or any curries.
