This is a famous street chaat made with ready made papdis and moth dal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 ready made kachori or Papri mathi
  2. 1 cup moth dal
  3. 1 cup rice
  4. Salt
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1/4 tsp red chilli
  7. 2 green chillies
  8. 2 onion
  9. 2 tomato
  10. Green coriander [handful]
  11. 2 tsp pudina chutney
  12. 1 lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice for 5 minutes
  2. Wash and soak dal for 10 minutes
  3. Boil rice with little salt & turmeric
  4. Keep aside
  5. In a cooker put dal and salt
  6. Add required amount of water and pressure cook this until 5 whistles are attained.
  7. Heat oil in a pan
  8. Add 1 chopped onion and 2 tomatoes.
  9. Cook and add red chilly powder.
  10. Pour tadka on dal.
  11. In a platter ,add kachori
  12. Pour hot dal on it
  13. Put some rice
  14. Add chopped onion and green chilli
  15. Add coriander and pudina chutney
  16. Pour lemon juice
  17. Serve
