In kutch ( gujarat) vatidaal na bhajiya are very famous. Its made from ages in almost every kitchen in kutch. Dadi / nani use to make them in traditional way as they did not have options like electric mixi for crushing the daals. These are very simple to make with minimum ingredients and goes well with tea. Its very healthy as it has daals and that makes them protein rich.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Yellow moog daal 1 cup
  2. Green moon daal 1 cup
  3. White urad dal 1/4 cup
  4. Crushed green chilly 2 to 3 table spoons
  5. Crushed ginger/adark 1 tea spoon
  6. Crushed coriander 1 /2 cup
  7. Baking soda 1 tea spoon
  8. salt as per taste
  9. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak all the daals for 4 to 5 hrs .
  2. Now crush them to danedaar paste...use hand grinding tool then mixi to get better result.
  3. Add in green chilly, adark, salt, coriander and baking soda mix well n leav aside for 15 to 20mins.
  4. Now heat the oil and once oil is done add in small small pakodies and fry till golden brown.
  5. Now yr crispy pakodis are ready to serve with tea or coffee.
