ABOUT Mangalore Buns RECIPE

Its a traditional catholic Goa and Manglorian recipe, very easy to make and very tasty to eat.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup maida/ wheat flour
  2. 2 ripe banana
  3. 1/4 tsp salt
  4. 1/4 tsp cummin seeds/ saunf [fennel seeds]
  5. 1/4 tsp cooking soda
  6. 2tbs oil
  7. Milk/ water for kneading
  8. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. First seive the flour.
  2. Mash the banana very well
  3. Now add flour into banana paste.
  4. Now add salt,saunf/ jeera cooking soda, 2 TBS oil mix well.
  5. If required add little milk n make dough.
  6. Give 15-20 mins rest.
  7. Roll into thick puri.
  8. Fry on medium heat.
  9. Serve with chutney or with hot tea.
