Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Finely Chopped Spinach (Barik Kati Palak) - 4 Bunches Finely
  2. Finely Chopped Fenugreek Leave (Barik Kati Methi) - 4 Bunches
  3. Finely Chopped Dill Leaves (Bari Kata Soya Leaves) - 4 Bunches
  4. Chickpeas (Kabuli Chana) - 100 Grams
  5. Onion Paste (Pyaz Ka Paste) - 1 Cup
  6. Ginger Garlic Paste (Adrak Lasoon Ka Paste) - 1 Table Spoon
  7. Finely Chopped Coriander (Barik Kata Hara Dhaniya) - 1 Bunch
  8. Slit Green Chilies (Kati Hari Mirch) - 5 to 6
  9. Red Chili Powder (Laal Mirch Powder) - 2 Table Spoon
  10. Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) - 1 Tea Spoon
  11. Chole Masala Powder - 1 Table Spoon
  12. Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 1 Table Spoon
  13. Oil - As Per Requirement
  14. Salt According to Taste

Instructions

  1. Soak chickpeas over night or 6 8 hours before cooking
  2. Add soaked chickpeas and one cup of water in a pressure pan or cooker. Cook till you get 4 to 6 whistles. Keep the pan/cooker aside get the pressure is released automatically
  3. Heat oil in a nonstick pan or kadai. Once the oil is hot add cumin seeds and allow them to crackle
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the moisture from the paste gets evaporated
  5. Now add onion paste and cook till the paste become light brown
  6. Add boiled chickpeas and cook for 2 minutes
  7. At this stage add finely chopped spinach, fenugreek & dill leave and green coriander. Mix all ingredients. Cover and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. All greens leave their moisture
  8. Add all dry ingredients like red chilli, turmeric and chole masala powder. Season it with salt according to taste. Mix all the ingredients
  9. Cover and cook on low to medium flame for 10 to 15 minutes or till water is completely get absorbed and oil get separated
  10. Finely add the slit green chill and mix it and cook it for another 2 minutes
  11. The dish is ready to be served with any Indian bread
