Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Yellow gram or moong dal 2 cups
  2. Ghee 1/4th cup
  3. Condensed milk 1/2 cup
  4. Almonds 1/4th cup
  5. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  6. Nutmeg 1/8th tsp
  7. Milk 2 cups

Instructions

  1. Soak the dal for a minimum of 3 hours .
  2. Pressure cook it with milk .
  3. In a pan , heat ghee and add blanched and slivered almonds .
  4. Fry that for a minute until light brown in colour .
  5. Add pressured cooked dal mix to it .
  6. Cook it by constantly stirring .
  7. Add condensed milk to it .
  8. Add cardamom and nutmeg powders .
  9. Keep stirring until the ghee starts leaving the sides of the pan .
  10. Check for amoung of sweetness and adjust according to taste .
  11. Garnish it with more almonds and serve it warm .
