ABOUT TOMATO-BEETROOT HALWA RECIPE

I've made Tomato halwa many times, but this time to make it more healthy and tasty I've used Beetroot as well as it's winter season. And instead of Mawa I've used milk powder.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tomato 4
  2. Beetroot 1
  3. Almonds 10
  4. Cashwes 8
  5. Raisins 12
  6. Melon seeds 1 tablespoon
  7. Milk powder ½ cup
  8. Pure Ghee 3 tablespoon
  9. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  10. Silver foil ( for decoration) 1
  11. Sugar ½ cup

Instructions

  1. Make puree out tomato and beetroot.
  2. Take a wok and heat pure ghee now add the tomato-beetroot puree and roast it on a low flame.
  3. Once cooked well and the pure ghee starts to leave puree then add sugar and milk powder and keep cooking until it thickens.
  4. Now add the chopped dry fruits, cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Your halwa is ready, garnish with silver foil and serve hot.
