Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. greated beetroot-1cup
  2. full fat milk-2cup
  3. suger-1/2 cup
  4. cardamom powder-2tsp
  5. ghee-2tbsp
  6. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. wash the beetroot in running water. peel and cut from the bottom.
  2. grate them with the help of grater.Take grated beetroot in a heavy bottomed pan. add milk and mix well. cook on medium flame untill it turns soft. stir occasionally
  3. when mixture start to thicken add sugar. stir and cook for 5 minutes. add ghee and cardamom powder. cook untill the ghee release. add chopped nuts. off the flame.
  4. Halwa is ready to eat. garnish with nuts and serve as per your choice warm or chilled
