ABOUT Mutton Brown Stew RECIPE

Mutton is a good source of protein and it also helps to increase blood level.We all love spicy mutton curry,but spicy mutton curry is not good for everyone specially pregnant woman and aged person as spicy dishes is not good for them.So for them this mutton brown stew is good.It is very light curry and has no any spicy ingredients .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mutton-500grams(cut into small pieces)
  2. Vegetable oil-1teaspoon
  3. bay leaf-1
  4. Cinnamon stick-1inch
  5. Green Cardamom-2
  6. Black Cardamom-1
  7. Black pepper-4(crushed)
  8. Cloves-2
  9. Brown Onion paste-1/4cup
  10. Ginger paste-1 teaspoon
  11. Garlic Paste-1teaspoon
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Garam masala powder-1/2teaspoon
  14. Coriander powder-1teaspoon
  15. Milk-1/2cup
  16. Warm Water-1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Slice two onions then fry it and add ginger to make a fine paste adding little later
  2. Heat oil in a cooker
  3. Temper the oil with cinnamon,green cardamom,black cardamom,cloves,black pepper and bay leaf
  4. Add brown onion paste
  5. Add garlic paste,fry for 2 minutes
  6. Add ginger paste,stir for 2 minutes
  7. Add potatoe pieces,fry until light brown
  8. Add mutton pieces,mix and stir
  9. Add salt, coriander powder and garam masala powder
  10. Mix and stir,cook for 2 to 3 minutes on low flame
  11. Mix 1/2cup milk and 1/2cup water in a cup,and add this mixture
  12. Bring the mixture to boil,when it will start boil,then close the lid and cook until 7 to 8 whistle .
  13. After realising the steam,open the cooker and enjoy this stew with bread.
