ABOUT Mattar Paneer RECIPE

Paneer being rich in protein and calcium, it is a great source of conjugated linoleic acid — a fatty acid which helps lose weight by increasing the fat burning process in the body. So people who wish to lose weight, should definitely include paneer dish in their diet plans. Mattar or Green Peas are good source of vitamin K, manganese, dietary fiber, vitamin B1 & C. They are also source of vitamin B6 & B2 zinc, protein, magnesium, iron and potassium. By using these two wealthy ingredients in Jai Ki Rasoi Se made "Mattar Paneer"

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Cottage Cheese (Paneer) - 250 Grams
  2. Green Peas (Hare Mattar) - 100 Grams
  3. Tomato Puree (Tamator Paste) - 1 Cup
  4. Onions Paste (Pyaz Ka Paste) - 1 Cup
  5. Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder) - 1 Table spoon
  6. Red Chili Powder (Lal Mirch Powder) - 1 Table spoon
  7. Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder) - 1 Tea spoon
  8. Ginger Garlic Paste (Adrak Lasoon Paste) - 1 Table Spoon
  9. Black Cumin Seeds (Shahi Jeera) - 1 Tea Spoon
  10. Whole Spice Powder (Garam Masala) - 1 Tea Spoon Coriander
  11. Finely Chopped (Barik Kata Hara Dhaniya) - 1 Bunch
  12. Slit Green Chillies (Kati Hari Mirch) - 5 to 6
  13. Oil - As per Requirement
  14. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan or kadai. Once the oil is hot add black cumin seeds and all them to crackle
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the moisture of the paste get evaporated
  3. Now add onion paste and cook it till the paste becomes light brown
  4. Add green peas and mix it. Cover and cook till the peas become soft or tender
  5. At this stage add all dry ingredients like red chilli, turmeric, coriander and whole spice powder. Mix all the ingredients and cook till oil get separated from it
  6. Add tomato pure and mix it. Season it with salt according to taste. Cook till it come to boiling point.
  7. Add the cottage cheese and mix well. Cover and cook it on simmer for 10 minutes
  8. Finely add finely chopped green coriander and still chillies. Mix and cook for two minutes
  9. Now the dish is ready to be served with any flavoured rice or Indian bread
