ABOUT Babycorn chilli RECIPE

The very first dish which I always order whenever I am out for dinner. I love it so much that if I open up my restaurant or cafe this dish will be the first item on the menu card.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Small packet of babycorns 1
  2. Cornflour 1 tsp
  3. Ginger-garlic-green chilli paste 2 tsp
  4. Soya sauce 1 tsp
  5. Oil 3 tbsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Onions sliced 2
  8. Green chillies, ginger and garlic minced 1 tsp
  9. Capsicum 1 sliced
  10. Chilli sauce 1 tsp
  11. Ketchup 3 tbsp
  12. Black pepper 1 tsp
  13. Water for boiling
  14. Water 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. First of all wash the babycorn, cut into half and let them dry.
  2. Boil water in a pan and add a pinch of salt and add the babycorn.
  3. After it becomes tender, strain and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, on a high flame. Add minced green chilli, garlic and ginger.
  5. Add salt, onion and capsicum.
  6. Saute for a while, add the ginger garlic chilli paste and cook for a minute.
  7. Add the soya sauce, chilli sauce, pepper and ketchup.
  8. Mix well and add cornstarch (mix cornflour with 2 tbsp water).
  9. Add the babycorn and cook till it gets well coated with all the ingredients.
  10. Serve hot.
