Eggs are among the most nutritious food on the planet. Really, eggs are pretty much the perfect food, they contain a little bit of almost every nutrient we need. Eggs are loved by everyone, especially kids. Eggs are very healthy to eat and easy to make and easy to eat also. Today, I am sharing the yummy street snack egg-roll recipe. Egg roll is a very famous street snack, especially in Kolkata where it is known as Egg kathi roll or Frankie. It is a quick tiffin recipe and kids also love to eat it. Egg roll is loved by everyone. When you are short of time or want to eat something in a hurry, or you feel lazy and want to eat yummy food, egg roll is the best option. Egg roll is quick and easy-to-make!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dough-
  2. All-purpose flour - 1 cup
  3. Oil - 2 tbsp
  4. Salt - 1/4 tsp
  5. Water
  6. For Roll-
  7. Eggs - 4-6 (2 eggs for 1 roll)
  8. Onions - 2 (cut into thin slices)
  9. Capsicum- 1 large (cut into thin slices)
  10. Cucumber- 1 large (cut into thin slices)
  11. Green chili - 2 (chopped)
  12. Tomato sauce - 1-2 tbsp
  13. Red chilli sauce- 1 tbsp
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Red chilli powder as per your taste
  16. Chaat masala to sprinkle
  17. Lemon juice to sprinkle

Instructions

  1. Firstly, make the dough. Add all the ingredients and make a soft and smooth dough.
  2. Cover it with a lid and leave it for 15 minutes
  3. Take another bowl and crack 2 eggs and add salt and red chili powder. Whisk it properly.
  4. Now take one dough ball and roll it into a chapati/roti shape
  5. Heat oil in a pan and put the maida roti in a pan. Cook both side on medium flame
  6. Cook properly on both the sides; once it is cooked, then place the egg on roti and spread egg properly
  7. Flip it nicely and cook it for 8-10 seconds, and flip again
  8. Now, spread tomato sauce and chilli sauce on egg and add sliced onion, capsicum, cucumber, and green chilli at the middle of the roll
  9. Sprinkle lemon juice and chaat masala as per your taste
  10. Gently roll it and and wrap bottom of the roll with foil paper or butter paper
  11. Your egg roll is ready to serve
