ABOUT Methidana Laddu RECIPE

Methidana has many useful benefits . These laddus are very good for the one suffering from any body pain, joints pain, arthritis, bones , stomach related problems, diabetics and for pregnant ladies. A must have for the ones along with milk in winters.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Methi dana - 1/2 cup
  2. edible gums -1/4 cup
  3. Haldi - 4 tbsp
  4. sonth powder - 2tbsp
  5. ajwain- 2 tbsp
  6. dalchini powder- 1/2 tbsp
  7. Almonds , cashews - 1/4 cup
  8. Wheat Flour - 1 Cup
  9. Desi ghee -200 gm
  10. Gur -little less than 500 gm
  11. makhane - 1 cup
  12. kishmish- 1/4 cup
  13. milk - 1/4 th litre

Instructions

  1. Grind the methidana into powder.
  2. warm the milk and add the methi powder in it. mix it well and keep aside for minimum 3 hours
  3. take a little desi ghee in a wok and fry edible gums till they are double in size. n drain out in a plate.
  4. Take haldi in a bowl and add little water in it to make a paste.
  5. In the same leftover ghee add the haldi paste and keep sauteing until the ghee separates . Keep aside
  6. dry roast makhanas.
  7. Take sonth, ajwain, dalchini and grind it so that ajwain turns into powder form n all spices mix well.
  8. Grind, almonds, cashews, edible gums and makhanas coarsely.
  9. Now add desi ghee in a wok and on a very low flame start roasting methi paste in it. It will take 25 to 30 min approx to roast properly or until ghee separtes. keep Stirring continuously in the whole process so that it doesnt stick at the bottom.
  10. In another pan dry roast the aata until golden brown.
  11. Now is the time to mix all . In this roasted methi add roasted haldi and spices powder and almond-cashews-ediblegums-makhana powder and roasted wheat flour.
  12. In another pan add half cup water and add the gur. let it melt completely and start boiling.
  13. switch off the flame. add melted gur in the mixture prepared and mix it well.
  14. Make medium size laddus of own choice. The healthy laddus are ready to eat.
