ABOUT Za'atar Edamame Hummus RECIPE

This simple & Irresistable Hummus is packed with goodness of Edamame is packed with full of Flavours

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup of Edamame Beans (removed from Pods)
  2. 1 cup of boiled Chickpeas
  3. 1/4 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  4. Juice of 2 lemon
  5. 1 tsp sea salt
  6. Za'atar spice mix -as required
  7. 1 green Chili (de-seeded)
  8. 1/4 cup of roasted white sesame seeds
  9. 1/2 cup of fresh coriander leaves with stems
  10. 2 cloves of garlic, roasted ,finely chopped
  11. 1/2 cup or more water reserved from boiled Chickpeas

Instructions

  1. Blend all the Ingredients except Salt and half of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to make a fine Paste by adding chickpea water little at a time
  2. Scrap from the sides till you get the consistency of fine little grainy kind of texture which is spreadable but not runny.
  3. Add rest of the Extra virgin olive oil and blend to get the fluffy , smooth Hummus.
  4. Add salt to taste and garnish with little Extra Virgin olive oil , Za'atar spice mix, Edamame beans and fresh coriander leaves. In case you do not get store brought Zaatar spice then grind 1 tbsp roasted white sesame seeds, 1 tbsp Roasted Cumin powder, 1 tbsp dried oregano , 1 tbsp Sumac, 1 tsp kosher salt , 1 tbsp black pepper crushed to fine powder
  5. Serve Hummus with Chips/ bread/ Lavash/ veggie sticks of your choice.
