ABOUT Falafel With Hummus RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For falafel:
  2. 2cups overnight soaked chickpeas
  3. 1cup parsley/ coriander leaves
  4. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1pinch Baking soda
  7. 1tsp jeera
  8. 5/6 cloves garlic with skin
  9. Red chili / Black pepper Powder
  10. For hummus:
  11. 1cup soaked and boiled Chickpeas
  12. 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  13. 1cup olive oil
  14. Salt
  15. 3/4tsp lemon juice
  16. 1tsp garlic

Instructions

  1. For falafel:
  2. Drain extra water of soaked peas.
  3. Dry chickpeas with a dry cloth
  4. Grind chickpeas and other falafal ingredients mentioned in a mixer coarsely(no need to add water)
  5. Mix well
  6. Heat oil in a pan
  7. Divide ready mixture into small portions and shape it
  8. Deep fry till it becomes crispy
  9. Method for hummus
  10. Drain extra water of boiled Chickpeas
  11. Take chickpeas, and mentioned ingredients in a mixer and grind till it becomes thick paste
  12. Add olive oil (optional)
  13. Take in a bowl and refrigerate
  14. Serve hot falafels with chilled hummus
