ABOUT Falafel And Hummus RECIPE

Add an International feel to your party with middle Eastern delicacy falafel with hummus. Falafel makes a great appetizer when paired with hummus for dipping. So enjoy each bite of delicious falafel dipped into hummus and satisfy your taste buds.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Hummus:
  2. 2 cups soaked and boiled chickpeas
  3. 1 cup sesame seeds
  4. 1 cup olive oil
  5. 3-4 garlic pods
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  8. To garnish:
  9. 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  10. Paprika 1 tsp
  11. Fresh coriander springs for garnishing
  12. A few boiled chickpeas
  13. Falafel :
  14. 1 cup soaked chick peas
  15. 1/2 cup parsley
  16. 1/4 cup coriander
  17. 1 medium onion
  18. 3 garlic pods
  19. 3/4 tbsp cumin
  20. Salt to taste
  21. 1/2 tsp soda bi carb
  22. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Hummus: Blend together boiled and strained chickpeas, sesame seeds, olive oil, garlic, salt and lemon juice
  2. Place the hummus in a bowl and pour some fine quality of olive oil and place it in refrigerator for an hour
  3. For falafal add chickpeas, parsley, coriander, chopped onions, garlic, cumin seeds, salt and soda bi carb and grind it together.
  4. Mix the mixture properly. Heat oil on a medium flame and shape the mixture into a pattie and fry them in the oil.
  5. Assemble it together and the falafel and hummus is ready to be served!
