Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Colocasia leaves 10
  2. Green chilies 5, slit
  3. Tamarind pulp 1/4 cup
  4. Ajwain 1/4 tbsp
  5. Ground nuts 10
  6. Urad dal 1 tbsp
  7. Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
  8. Curry leaves 6-7
  9. Garlic cloves 5, chopped
  10. Refined oil 1 tbsp
  11. Water as required
  12. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook colocasia leaves for 5 whistles. Allow it to cool and mash the leaves well
  2. Heat 1 tbsp refined oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds. Add urad dal and ajawan, saute until dal turns golden brown. Add green chilies and garlic cloves. Saute for 2 minutes
  3. Add grounds and roast for 3-4 minutes. Add Tamarind pulp and mashed colocasia leaves. Mix well
  4. Add salt and enough water to cook. Bring to boil. cook until desired consistency is achieved
  5. Serve hot with rice or Roti.
