Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 12 colocasia leaves
  2. 3 cups Gram flour
  3. 1 tbsp - Coriander leaves, finely chopped
  4. 1 tsp - sesame seeds
  5. salt to taste
  6. 1 tsp asafoetida
  7. 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  8. 3 tsp - chili powder
  9. 1/2 cup lemon juice
  10. 1 tsp - crushed cumin seeds
  11. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  12. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  13. 1 tsp ginger green chili paste

Instructions

  1. Clean, wash and wipe leaves. Cut thick veins with a pair of scissors.
  2. Mix all ingredients well mentioned in ingredient list to form thick paste
  3. Place backside of the leaf on a flat surface
  4. Take little paste and apply a thin layer evenly on the leaf surface
  5. Place another leaf over it. Repeat until all leaves are done. Apply paste on the top surface of final leaf too
  6. Fold edges and roll the leaves, starting with their base to form pinwheels
  7. Make tight rolls and seal sides with paste.Place perforated vessel of a double boiler or steam cooker.Steam in the cooker for 30-40 mins till cooked.Cool it in refrigerator for 1 hour. Cut into 1/2 inch thick slices.Heat oil in wok and deep fry them and serve hot
