ABOUT Bhuna Capsicum Rice RECIPE

This is spicy pulav which is flavoured with whole some masala and pavbhaji masala. The main ingredient is capsicum. We always use capsicum in our kid friendly recipe but often kids just leave this in the plate but I am sure when you make it kids will like it and we can add green vegetables into their diet. Lets try this....:yum::yum::yum:

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basmati rice- 1 cup
  2. Capsicum- 1 medium sized
  3. Dalchini- 1 small stick
  4. Cloves- 2
  5. Black pepper- 4 to 5
  6. Black Cardamom - 1
  7. Onion- 1 medium sized, chopped
  8. Ginger- garlic paste- 1 tsp
  9. Green chili- 2, chopped
  10. Pavbhaji masala- 2 tsp
  11. Shahi jeera- 1/2 tsp
  12. Desi ghee- 2 tbsp
  13. Cashew nuts- 4
  14. Bay leaf- 1
  15. Coriander leaves 4 tbsp chopped
  16. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a vessel. Wash rice and add to vessel
  2. Add all whole spices mentioned in the ingredients list and mix well
  3. Add salt and mix well. Cook until rice is done. Drain excess water and cool to room temperature
  4. Now roast capsicum directly on the flame
  5. Grind roasted capsicum to make smooth paste.
  6. Now heat desi ghee , add bay leaf and Shahi jeera.
  7. Add green chili and chopped onion, saute it for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw aroma disappears
  9. Now add capsicum paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Add pavbhaji masala and mix well.
  11. Add cooked rice and little salt. Gently mix without breaking grains until rice is well coated with masalas
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and fried cashew nuts.
  13. Serve it hot
