Marinate chicken with salt ,chili powder , kasuri methi , ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Keep it aside for 2 hours
Grind methi and coriander leaves to make a smooth paste
Heat oil in a pan. Add whole garam masala and bay leaves. Roast for a minute. Now add onion paste and stir fry for 3-4 mins. Add marinated chicken and ghee. Mix well. Cover and cook for 15 minutes
Add ground paste and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes. Add all spice powders, salt , sugar and mix well. Add 1 cup water and bring to boil. Cover and cook until chicken is tender and gravy has achieved desired consistency
Serve hot with rice or roti
