It ia an indian dessert ....kind of doughnut dipped in sugar syru

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida 2 cups
  2. Ghee 4 tbsp
  3. Salt 1/4 tsp
  4. Curd 4 tbsp
  5. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  7. Sugar 1 tbsp
  8. Milk 1/4 cup or as required for dough
  9. Oil or ghee for deep frying
  10. FOR SUGAR SYRUP
  11. Water 1 cup
  12. Sugar 2 cups
  13. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  14. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  15. For Garnishing
  16. Silver varq 2
  17. Pistachios 6-7 chopped

Instructions

  1. In pan, boil water and sugar and make sugar syrup of 1 string consistency .
  2. Add lemon juice, cardamom powder and mix well. Keep it aside
  3. In bowl, add sugar and ghee, mix well until sugar dissolves.
  4. Add flour,salt,baking powder ,baking soda ,curd and mix it well
  5. Add milk and knead a soft dough.
  6. Rest dough for 20 min .
  7. Make lemon sized balls from dough and press at centre
  8. Deep fry either in oil or in ghee until golden brown
  9. Dip balls in sugar syrup for 30-40 min.
  10. Garnish it with chopped pistachio and silver varq. Serve
