Made from fresh raw peas

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Fresh Green Peas 1 cup
  2. Semolina 1 tbsp
  3. Sugar 1.5 tbsp
  4. Water 3 tbsp
  5. Pistachios 1 tbsp
  6. Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Desi ghee 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Grind peas to fine paste
  2. Slice 1/2 tbsp pistachios. Crush remaining 1/2 tbsp pistachios. Keep it aside
  3. Dissolve sugar in water to make syrup, keep it aside
  4. Heat non-stick pan, add peas paste add saute on low flame till raw aroma goes away, this should take around 15 minutes. Keep it aside
  5. Melt ghee in the same pan, roast suji until aromatic. Add peas mixture and saute for 3-4 minutes
  6. Add sugar syrup and cook till it reaches halwa consistency. Add crushed pista and mix well
  7. Garnish halwa with chopped pista and serve warm
