Today I am sharing spicy green peas recipe. Touch of spicy to the sweetness of green peas makes a very refreshing side dish. This can also be serve as appetizer. spicy green peas is a quick and easy recipe to make. It is also called ghughri in east UP.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250 gm green peas
  2. 2 tbsp desi ghee
  3. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  4. 1 pinch asafoetida
  5. 1 tsp grated ginger
  6. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  9. 2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan
  2. Splutter cumin seeds and add hing
  3. Add grated ginger, saute until it becomes slightly reddish in color
  4. Add green peas and mix well, fry for 1 minute.
  5. Next add black pepper powder and salt. Mix well
  6. Cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes
  7. It should be perfectly fried and crispy.
  8. Switch off the flame. Add lemon juice and mix well. Spicy green peas is ready to serve.
