ABOUT Pan-Fried Crispy Chickpeas with Parmesan and Lime RECIPE

These pan-fried parmesan chickpeas are a healthy snacks loaded with protein, fiber, and a whole lot of deliciousness!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 can chickpeas
  2. 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  3. 2 tablespoon finely grated parmesan cheese
  4. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  6. 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  7. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Chickpea-peeling: Spread the drained chickpeas over a paper towel. With another paper towel gently rub the surface of chickpeas. It loosens the peels. Toss the peels away.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil until it starts to glisten.
  3. Add the peeled chickpeas and cook until golden brown and crispy all over - approximately 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. While still hot, toss the chickpeas with the spices and parmesan cheese. Enjoy right away.

Can I use vegetable oil in the place of olive oil?
