Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Black gram without skin / urad dhuli dal - 1/4 cup
  2. Wheat flour - 1 cup
  3. Suji - 2 tbsp
  4. Chopped green chi - 2 - 3
  5. Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  9. Clarified butter - 2 tbsp
  10. Ginger - 1 inch stick
  11. Salt - to taste
  12. Oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak urad dal / black gram without skin for 3 - 4 hours.
  2. Then drain urad dal completely.
  3. In a blender add dhuli urad dal,green chilly and ginger and blend coarsely.
  4. Not too smooth not very coarse.
  5. Mix coriander powder,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,garam masalsa and salt.
  6. In a kneading bowl mix together wheat flour,suji,salt,clarified butter / ghee and urad dal paste.
  7. Add luke warm water little by little and make a soft dough.
  8. Keep aside for 15 mins.
  9. Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  10. Sprinkle a little flour and roll them with a rolling pin.
  11. In a pan heat oil and add the kachori,lower the heat and fry till light brown.
  12. Drain in paper napkin.
  13. Serve hot with potato bhaji.
