ABOUT Squid Parsley Stir Fry RECIPE

Squid is a quick and healthy seafood option. You need to clean the squid thoroughly after removing the cavity contents and make rings. Though squid is used after frying in most of the dishes, here I have stir fried it to reduce the oil content. But the taste still remains the same and infusion of spices makes it a quick and perfect starter.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Squid rings 2 cups
  2. Vinegar/lemon juice 2 teaspoon
  3. Ghee/butter 1 tablespoon
  4. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  5. Asafotida 1 pinch
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  7. Chilly flakes 1 teaspoon
  8. Parsley 2 teaspoon
  9. Pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate squid rings in vinegar for about and hour
  2. In a pan heat ghee
  3. Add asafotida and cumin seeds
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and sautee well
  5. Now drain all water from squid rings and add in pan
  6. Season with salt, parsley, chilly flakes and pepper and mix well
  7. Let the squid cook till water is evaporated. This takes around 10-12 minutes
  8. Once done, switch off the flame and serve in bowl
