Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Maida 1 cup
  2. Semolina 1/4 cup
  3. Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Ghee 1 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Sugar 3/4 cup
  6. Water 1/4 cup
  7. Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Oil to fry
  9. A new comb for pressing the dough

Instructions

  1. Mix Maida semolina salt and ghee. Mix well
  2. Sprinkle water and make a thick dough like poori dough
  3. Keep it aside for 30 minutes
  4. Make marble size balls
  5. Press and drag the ball in the comb
  6. Make shell shape
  7. Deep fry it
  8. In a pan make sugar syrup of one string
  9. Add cardamom powder
  10. Put the fried shells in the syrup and mix well to give a nice coating of sugar in each shell.
  11. Kalakala is ready
