Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. White chickpeas 2 cups
  2. Spinach 1 bunch
  3. Chopped onion 2
  4. Tomatoes 2
  5. Ginger,garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Chana masala 1 teaspoon
  8. Tezpatta 1
  9. Big cardamom 2
  10. Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  11. Coriander powder 1/4 teaspoon
  12. Some paner cubes for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Soak the chana overnight
  2. Now boil it with little salt
  3. Clean and wash the spinach
  4. Cook it for 1 whistle and puree it
  5. Heat 4 teaspoon oil in a kadahi
  6. Add jeera to splutter.
  7. Add fine chopp onion.Saute it till brown
  8. Add Ginger garlic paste and green chilli
  9. Now add fresh tomato puree
  10. Add salt and all the masalas
  11. Now drain the water from the chana and add in the kadai
  12. Stir well and mix it
  13. Add spinach puree and mix it
  14. Now add chana water little by little
  15. Cook for five minutes or untill gravy thickens
  16. Garnish with paner cubes. Palak Chana Masala is ready to serve with rotis ,naan and hot rice
