ABOUT Rosy Pav Bun RECIPE

These are soft and delicious buns with sweet stuffings . Perfect for breakfast or tea time.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For four pav buns
  2. All purpose flour 100 grams
  3. Butter 2 teaspoons
  4. Milk powder 1 tablespoon
  5. Dry yeast 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  7. Salt a pinch
  8. Milk 75 ml
  9. For stuffing
  10. Dessicated coconut 2 teaspoon
  11. Milk powder 2 teaspoon
  12. Mix fruit jam 2 teaspoon
  13. Little milk for milk bath the buns, butter and Mix fruit jam to garnish .

Instructions

  1. In warm milk dissolve sugar.
  2. Add yeast and mix well. Keep covered for 10 minutes at warm place.
  3. You will see frothy layer on the top.
  4. Take all purpose flour in a deep bowl add salt and milk powder to it.
  5. By adding milk with yeast , form a sticky dough. (add little milk if required )
  6. Transfer the dough on to a work surface, add butter and knead for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Now transfer the dough to a deep greased bowl and cover (seal) with plastic wrap or wet cloth
  8. Keep the bowl in a warm place for two hours.
  9. Meanwhile prepare stuffing . For that take milk powder , dessicated coconut and jam in a bowl and mix well.
  10. Mixture should be binding consistency . If loose add more dessicated coconut to it.
  11. Devide this stuffing in 4 portions , give oval shape to each portion and keep aside .
  12. After two hours you will see proofed dough.
  13. Punch the dough and knead for two three minutes.
  14. Devide the dough in four equal parts. Roll each ball into thick roti of 4 inch diameter.
  15. Leaving one inch circle in centre give 4 cuts . (see pic)
  16. Place stuffing in centre and cover the stuffing with all cut portions.
  17. you can brush little milk to close the corners.
  18. Finally it will look like a rose flower. Prepare all flowers this way.
  19. Transfer them in a greased baking tray with two inches difference between flowers.
  20. Cover the tray with wet cloth to proof again for an hour.
  21. After proofing brush these flowers with little milk.
  22. Preheat microwave convection mode at 180 degree C.
  23. Bake these flower pav buns for 15 minutes. If you want brown crust bake 5 minutes more.
  24. Brush them with little butter. Cover the tray with wet cloth and let the bun cool down.
  25. After cooling add little mix fruit jam on top.
  26. They are reay to serve. Enjyou each and every bite.
