Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Flour 105 grams
  2. Sugar 80 grams
  3. Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Milk 1/2 cup
  6. Vinegar 1 teaspoon
  7. Unsweetened cocoa powder 1 tablespoon
  8. Choco chips 1/4 cup
  9. Cooking oil 40 grams
  10. Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  11. Few drops of red gel colour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 160 and line your muffin tray with cupcakes liners
  2. Mix vinegar and milk and set aside for few minutes to curdle to get the buttermilk
  3. In a mixing bowl whisk all the dry ingredients and sieve them ( flour sugar baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder) . Keep it aside
  4. To buttermilk add oil vanilla extract and red gel colour and mix well
  5. Add the dry ingredients in two batches to the wet mixture but do not over mix .
  6. Mix it quickly and fill the cupacke liners to 2/3 and bake it for 20 minutes or till the skewer inserted comes out clean
  7. Take them out from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes on a cooling rack
  8. Enjoy Red velvet cupcakes with coffee or tea.
