Artisan bread are hand-crafted,heart-baked loaves. The secret to making these beautiful rustic bread is using very wet dough.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 1 1/2 cup .
  2. Salt 1 tsp .
  3. Dry active yeast 1/4 tsp .
  4. Luke warm water 1/2+1/4 cups .

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix the dry ingredients properly.
  2. Add water to the flour mixture. Mix with a wooden spoon for 1 min just until everything is combined. Do not over mix.
  3. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 3 hrs on the kitchen counter top. Store it in the fridge overnight.
  4. Next day: Dough will be sticky. sprinkle flour on the counter top and put the dough over it and form a ball gently. Spread semolina on a parchment paper and place the dough over it. Dust the dough ball with some flour or brush it with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seed. Cover it.Let it proof for 30 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile preheat oven to 200 degree along with the baking tray. Place a ovenproof metal pan on the lower rack.
  6. After the second proofing is done place the dough with the parchment paper on the baking tray. Pour 1 cup hot Water in the pan which is on the lower rack. You should be very careful. This is very important.
  7. Bake it for 30 minutes. Cool down completely before cutting the bread.
