ABOUT No knead No Butter Milky Bun RECIPE

These soft milky buns are like magic, just mix the ingredients in a bowl, no messy kneading, no butter. These buns are marbled throughout with chunks of cheese. You can keep it in your fridge for up to 4 days.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour 2 cup
  2. Wheat flour 1 cup
  3. Yeast 2 tablespoon
  4. Sugar 1 tablespoon
  5. Milk 1/2 cup
  6. Yoghurt 3/4th cup
  7. Egg 1
  8. Salt 1 tablespoon
  9. Baking powder 1/2 tablespoon
  10. Grated cheese 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Mix together yeast, sugar and lukewarm milk and rest it for 10 minutes until yeast activates, it should be foamy.
  2. Now combine flours, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Also combine yoghurt and egg in a separate bowl.
  4. Next add the yeast mixture and yoghurt egg mixture to the dry ingredients.
  5. Using your hand or spatula stir everything together in a sticky dough.
  6. Once all ingredients are combined fold the dough into a rough ball.
  7. Cover the dough tightly with clingwrap and let it sit for 2 hours in warm place like oven or cabinet.
  8. After 2 hours the dough should be doubled in size.
  9. Now transfer the dough onto a floured surface mix half of the grated cheese until evenly distributed.
  10. Devide the dough into equal portion and make balls from it.
  11. Grease a baking dish and place these balls into the dish at a distance.
  12. Cover with a clingwrap and let it sit for another 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  13. Give milkwash and sprinkle remaining cheese on the top of buns.
  14. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees centigrade.
  15. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake it for 30 to 35 minutes until you see a light brown crust on the bun.
  16. Remove from the oven and allow to cool about 10 minutes.
  17. Enjoy your bun with fresh butter or jam or make burgers.
