ABOUT Bendi Rice RECIPE

It contains potasium vitaminB,vitamin C,folic acid & calcium.It's low in calories & has a high dietary fiber content.The dietary fiber content of an lady finger is known to a high & hence many health specialists recommended it for digestive benifits.Is useful towards brain.This is very easy & simple main dish of okra (ladyies finger).

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Lady's finger......1/2 kg
  2. Fried gram....3 spoons
  3. Chilly powder....1& 1/2 spoons
  4. Turmeric Powder....1/2 spoon
  5. Chat masala....1 spoon
  6. Salt....
  7. Rice....1 cup(sona masuri/basmati rice)
  8. Cashew...1o
  9. Peanuts...2 spoons
  10. Urd dal....1 spoon
  11. Chana dal...1 Spoon
  12. Mustard....1/4 spoon
  13. Curry leaves...10
  14. Coconut Oil....3 spoons
  15. Ghee...2 spoons
  16. Coriander Leaves.. 2 spoons ( chopped)
  17. Ginger garlic paste......1 spoon
  18. Onion...1
  19. Green chilly....2
  20. Dry red chilly...1
  21. Rosemary....2 spoons (option)

Instructions

  1. Powder fried gram , chilly powder and salt.
  2. Wash rice and cook 1 cup rice with 2 cup water.
  3. Wash and chop ladies finger.
  4. Chop one onion.
  5. Add 2 spoons of coconut oil in to a pan,and 1 spoon ghee and chopped ladies finger. Shallow fry bendi (okra)
  6. Take out fried item and add chat masala,chilly powder,salt & Turmeric powder to it and toss them.
  7. Add 1 spoon oil & 1 spoon ghee ,Mustard,urd dal,chana dal,dry red chilly,peanuts, curry leaves,Almond & cashew into a kadai and temper them.
  8. Now add chopped greenchilly & onion to it and fry them.
  9. Add ginger garlic paste to it and fry them.
  10. Later and rice ,salt and prepared ladies finger and mix them.
  11. Now add prepared fried gram dal powder and mix them.
  12. Now sprinkle coriander leaves and Rosemary .
  13. Ready to serve.
