Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Gatte,2 cup fresh green peas
  2. 1 onion nicely chopped
  3. 2-3 garlic cloves nicely chopped
  4. 1/2 tsp ginger nicely chopped
  5. 1/2 cumin seeds
  6. Salt and oil for cooking
  7. For Gravy,1 onion roughly chopped
  8. 1 onion roughly chopped
  9. 3-4 garlic cloves roughly chopped
  10. 1/2 inch ginger chopped
  11. 2 tomato roughly chopped
  12. 1/4 tsp termeric powder
  13. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  14. 1 tap corriender seeds
  15. 6-8 fresh corrieder with stem
  16. 2 fresh green chillies roughly chopped
  17. 1/2 cup fresh methi chopped
  18. 2 tsp tomato puree
  19. 1 tsp tomato ketchup
  20. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  21. 2 tsp maava(khoya)
  22. 2 tsp fresh cream
  23. 1 tsp sugar
  24. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  25. Few drop of kewra essences
  26. Salt to taste
  27. Oil for cooking
  28. Fresh corriender for garnish

Instructions

  1. First take peas in mixer jar and make paste of it,now hot oil in pan add cumin seeds when cracked add onion after a min add chopped garlic and ginger,add paste boil peas and salt in it and mix well and simmer it.
  2. Now prepare a steamer,transfer this simmer peas mixture in greased bowl and keep it in steamer for steemed,when fork test is paas then keep out from steamer and left to cool it.when it cool cut in optional shape and size.
  3. Heat oil in pan and fry it.do same all and keep aside it for next step.
  4. For Gravy,take a deep pan add roughly chopped onion,ginger,garlic,green chillies,tomato,fresh corriender, corriender seeds,cumin seeds,turmeric powder,add some salt and cook it till tomato nicely done,
  5. When done ,transfer in mixer jar and make nice paste and strain the Gravy,
  6. Boil water in a pan,add fresh methi in it after 2 min strain water and keep aside.
  7. Now heat oil in kadhai,add boiled methi in it,after 1 min add,tomato puree,after a min add strain paste of Gravy and red chilli powder in it and stir it,
  8. When Gravy start to thick add tomato ketchup,after a min add one by one,suger,maava,fresh cream,garam masala,now add fry peas cubes and mix carefully,finish it with few kewra drops and garnish with fresh corriender.
  9. Now Peas Gatte with Methi Makhani is ready to serve,serve hot for more taste,with naan and chapati.
