A new style of Gujarati khaman dhokla

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 red coloured belpaper
  2. 1 green coloured belpaper
  3. 1 cup besan
  4. 1 tbsp sooji
  5. 1 tsp ginger-chilli paste
  6. 1 tbsp sugar
  7. 1 tdp fruitsalt
  8. 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  9. For Tempering:
  10. 2 tbsp oil
  11. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 5-6 curry leaves
  13. For Garnishing:
  14. Chopped coriander leaves
  15. Sesame seeds
  16. Grated coconut

Instructions

  1. Cut the both bellpeppers lengthwise in 2 halves
  2. Mix the besan, sooji, salt, asafoetida, sugar, ginger-chilli paste, water and in last add fruitsalt.
  3. Mix very well and fill immediately in belpapers halves.
  4. Steam it in steamer for 9 minute.
  5. When it cools down cut into slices.
  6. Now heat oil in pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves and pour this tadka on the dhokla slices.
  7. Sprinkle coriander leaves, sesame seeds, coconut.
  8. Serve as snacks or starter.
