ABOUT Capsicum Dhokla RECIPE

It is a new verson of gujarati dhokla

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 1 tbsp sooji
  3. 1 tsp ginger - chilli paste
  4. 1 tbsp sugar
  5. 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tsp fruitsalt
  8. 1 large red bellpeper
  9. 1 large green bell pepper
  10. Water as needed
  11. For Tempering: 2 tbsp Oil
  12. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  13. 5-6 Curry Leaves
  14. FOR GARNISH: Chopped coriander leaves
  15. Sesame seeds
  16. Grated coconut

Instructions

  1. Cut the both bell peppers lengthwise in 2 halves.
  2. Mix the besan, sooji, sugar, salt, asafoetida, ginger-chilli paste, water and in last add fruitsalt. Mix it and fill immediately in bell peppers halves.
  3. Steam it in steamer for 8 to 9 mins.
  4. When it cools down cut it into slices.
  5. Now heat the oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves and pour this tadka on dhokla slices.
  6. Sprinkle coriander leaves, sesame seeds, coconut. Serve as starter or as snacks.
