ABOUT Lettuce wrap bell pepper chicken shred tacos with avacado dip RECIPE

Enjoy the crunch of fresh and sweet bell peppers and lettuce alongwith baked chicken tikkas shreds and creamy melt of the fresh avocado dip, cheese and Mayoneese alongwith it. It's a fusion of the Mexican taco with an Indian twist of the chicken tikka shreds.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken - 300 gms
  2. For tikka marination :
  3. Yougurt - 1/2 cup(hung curd)
  4. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. Dhania powder - 1 tsp
  6. Chicken tandoori masala - 1 tsp
  7. Chat masala - 1/2 tsp
  8. Oil - 2 tbsps
  9. Lemon - 1/2
  10. Salt to taste
  11. For the tacos :
  12. Fresh lettuce for the wraps - 6
  13. Red bell pepper - 1/2
  14. Yellow bell pepper - 1/2
  15. Red cabbage shreds - 1 cup
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Pepper powder as to taste
  18. For the avacado dip :
  19. Avacado - 1/2
  20. Onion - 1 small
  21. Coriander - 1/4 cup
  22. Green Chilli - 1 small
  23. Hung curd / yougurt - 1/2 cup
  24. Salt to taste
  25. Cheese for garnish
  26. Tomatoe sauce for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and Marinate the chicken with the tikka marination for Atleast 15 minutes.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° for around 30 minutes
  3. Remove cool and shred it
  4. Wash the lettuce and keep ready for use
  5. Make the avacado dip by scooping the pulp of the half avacado and grind it with the remaining ingredients mentioned under the dip. Can mix the yougurt or blend alongwith the other ingredients.

  7. Keep the cheese, sauce and Mayo ready to use
  8. For the assembling: First place a lettuce leaf on the plate and spread the chicken shreds
  9. Now spread the red, yellow bell pepper then the red cabbage shreds
  10. Now drop some avacado dip
  11. Then goes the sauce, finally the cheese and some mayoneese
  12. Ready to eat. Enjoy the crunch without any tortilla wraps.
