Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 350 grm pumpkin grated and boiled
  2. 250 grm channa dal
  3. 2 whole red chilli
  4. 6-8 garlic cloves
  5. 1 inch ginger piece
  6. 2 star anise
  7. 1 cinnamon stick
  8. 2 bay leaves
  9. 3 green cardamom
  10. 2 black cardamom
  11. 1 beaten egg
  12. 100 grm hung curd
  13. 2 tsp lemon juice
  14. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  15. 1 onion nicely chopped
  16. 2 green chilli nicely chopped
  17. 1 tsp all spice powder
  18. 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Take channa dal in a pressure cooker add ginger,garlic,red whole chilli,star anise,bay leaves, cinnamon stick,cumin seeds,black and green cardamom and salt,add some water for cook nicely dal and keep it on gas to cook for 2-3 whistle,when done switch of gas and keep aside it too cool.
  2. When dal cool take all in mixer jar and grind it not use water in it.
  3. In other side grate the pumpkin and boiled it for 2-3 min when done squeeze all water from it and also keep aside it to cool.
  4. When pumpkin cool and squeeze all water from it,take a large size bowl and now add lemon juice,chopped green chilli,onion,fresh corriender,all spice powder,roasted cumin powder,black pepper powder,hung curd,beaten egg,salt and mix well.
  5. Now make optional size kabab of all dough,when all done,hot oil in pan add one by one of this kabab and shallow fry it.
  6. When one side done flip it to cook other side,all kabab fry like this.
  7. Now kabab is ready to serve,for more taste,serve hot with pav ,chapati or kucha.
