Schnitzel chicken coated with SPRIG Syracuse spice mix and shallow fried to a crispy delicious perfection!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken breast 300 gms
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Breadcrumbs 1.5 cup
  4. Sprig Syracuse spice blend 2 tbsp
  5. Egg 1
  6. Milk 1 tsp
  7. Parsley 1/4 cup, finely chopped
  8. Lemon 1, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Take a medium piece of chicken breast and pound between two cling film sheets or a zip lock bag till becomes uniformly thin.
  2. In a bowl, beat together egg, salt and milk and keep aside.
  3. In another bowl, take breadcrumbs, American spice blend. Mix well and keep aside.
  4. Coat the chicken with American spice blend first.
  5. Now dip in egg wash.
  6. Coat with breadcrumbs mixture.
  7. Shallow fry until golden brown and crisp on both sides. It should ideally take between 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken.
  8. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges and a side of coleslaw or a salad.
