ABOUT Masala Kaleji(liver) RECIPE

This is a Special dish for Eid-ul-udha, a delicious curry to be serve with some parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 750 g kaleji,cut small pieces.
  2. 2 medium size onions chopped
  3. 1 tbs spoon Ginger garlic paste
  4. 1 tbs papaya paste
  5. 1 tbs red chilli powder
  6. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 tbs coriander powder
  8. 1 tsp cumin powder
  9. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  10. 2 tbs oil
  11. 1/2 cup Yoghurt
  12. Salt to taste
  13. 2 tbs chopped coriander leaves
  14. 1 tbs lemon juice
  15. 1 tsp whole cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. Clean the kaleji and wash properly, and drain water.
  2. Add all spices ( not salt),and add lemon juice ,mix well keep aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil add whole cumin seeds and chopped onions. When onions turns light brown colour add kaleji with spices.
  4. Keep roasting 5 minutes high flame.
  5. Add yogurt , mix well ,and cook 10 minutes on medium flame.
  6. Add garam masala powder and salt,mix well and cook 5 minutes on slow flame.
  7. After 5 minutes,or kaleji cook properly,turn off the flame.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves. Green chillies picese, Ginger slices.serve with naan or chapati.
