ABOUT Kaleji / Liver fry with aaloo RECIPE

Chicken liver in Mughlai masalas with fried potatoes cooked in onion tomatoes giving a bhuna effect.Awesome with parathas and of course Plain Daal rice.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 6-8 pieces Chicken Liver/ kaleji
  2. 2-3 to potatoes
  3. 250 grams onions
  4. 3 medium sized tomatoes
  5. 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  6. 1tsp garam masala
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin (roasted) powder
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 pinch of nutmeg powder
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 2-3tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Clean wash kaleji / Liver pieces
  2. Apply ginger-garlic salt and keep for ten minutes
  3. Peel potatoes and chop into halves
  4. Chop onions and tomatoes
  5. Now heat oil in a non stick deep pan
  6. Saute fry potatoes and remove keep aside
  7. In the same oil fry onions browning a little
  8. Add turmeric and add the Marinade of liver / kaleji
  9. Add Tomatoes and all spices too
  10. Add garam masala
  11. Add potatoes now and a cup of water. cover and cook for ten minutes
  12. Sprinkle coriander and serve Hot
