ABOUT Vegetable Casserole (veg) RECIPE

A casserole is a large, deep dish used both in the oven and as a serving vessel. The word is also used for the food cooked and served in such a vessel, with the cookware itself called a casserole dish or casserole pan. Generally it made with meat and fish, egg but I made the veg version .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chopped red pepper 1/2
  2. Chopped green pepper 1/2cup
  3. Chopped Onion 1/2 cup
  4. Sweet corn kernels 1/2cup
  5. Fresh oregano leaves 1 cup
  6. Chopped green chilli 3
  7. Gram flour 1 & 1/4 cup
  8. Oil 2+2tsp
  9. Black pepper 1/4tsp
  10. Red chilli powder 1/4tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Cheese slices 2-3
  13. Bread slice 4-5
  14. Chopped coriander leaves a handfull

Instructions

  1. Take a wok put oil in it and heat . Add all chopped vegetables. saute in medium flame for 5 minutes
  2. After that put oregano leaves ,add red chilli powder , black pepper crushed,salt and again saute for 2-3 mins on high flame .. now remove from heat.
  3. Now cut bread in small pieces .
  4. Take a mixing bowl put gram flour add chopped coriander leaves and chopped green chilli add 2tsp oil and add water and make lumps free batter , batter consistency must be like chila or omelette batter consistency .
  5. Now take a baking tin first put vegetables in it. spread evenly .then put bread pieces on the vegetables .
  6. Now put cheese pieces on the bread pieces .
  7. Now pour the gram flour batter on it .
  8. Bake it in preheated oven on 180℃ for 15-20 mins . .. casserole is ready .. serve hot
