ABOUT Veg Thukpa RECIPE

Thukpa is a noodles soup. But in this recipe, soy sauce, chili sauce are not used. It is little spicy. This is made by Nepalis, Himaliyans and Tibetians. I made Neplolian Thupka.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup slightly uncooked noodle
  2. 1 onion, big size chopped
  3. 2 tablespoon chopped garlic
  4. 1 teaspoon ginger
  5. 1 tomato, big size chopped
  6. 1 big bowl cabbage, big size chopped
  7. kale leaves, tear with hand in two or three pieces
  8. 1 red chili, cut in two pieces
  9. 1 big spoon oil
  10. 1 veg soup cube
  11. salt to taste
  12. 1 spoon chicken masala
  13. 1 1/2 cup water/vegetable stock

Instructions

  1. Noodles are boiled in salted water, slightly uncooked.
  2. In a wok heat oil, add garlic, ginger, onion. Saute for 2 minutes on high flame. Now add cabbage, kale leaves and tomato.
  3. Now add water or vegetable stock and salt. Boil it and than add soup cube.
  4. Boil it for some time with lid. Iif veggies are slightly cooked than add red chili powder and chicken masala. Boil for 1 minute.
  5. Now add noodles. And cook one minute or more.
  6. Serve hot with omelette if you want.
