Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soaked and boiled white chana 1cup
  2. Roasted Vermicelli 2cups
  3. FOR MASALA
  4. Coriander leaves a handful
  5. Chopped onion 1/2cup
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  7. Green 2 chilli
  8. Fresh coconut 1/2cup
  9. Water as required
  10. For dum pulav
  11. Ghee 1 table spoon
  12. Green ilaichi 3
  13. Water 2 cups or as needed
  14. Clove 2
  15. Jeera 1 tsp
  16. Onion chopped 1/2 cup
  17. Tomato chopped 1cup
  18. Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  19. Red chilli powder 1/2tsp
  20. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a small blender and add coriander leaves , onion ,ginger garlic paste and coconut .
  2. Add water and blend to make a smooth paste .Keep aside.
  3. Now take a large non stick pan add ghee in it ..And add cumin seeds .Allow them to splutter.
  4. Now add all spices like cardmom ,clove cinnamon stick .Fry it a minute .
  5. Now add onion and Fry them till they turn translucent .
  6. Now add finely chopped tomatoes.
  7. Continue to Fry .Add turmeric powder, red dilli powder and add boiled white chana to it .saute for a minute.
  8. Add prepared masala and Fry for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Now add 3cups of water in and salt to taste .Mix well.
  10. Add vermicelli in it and mix gently .
  11. Cook for 3to 5 minutes in low flame and covered with lid .It will become completely dried out and vermicelli has cooked well.
