ABOUT Mawa cake RECIPE

Parsi cake flavoured with cardamom. This melt in mouth cake is worth trying .

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour 1&1/4 cup
  2. Sugar 1 cup
  3. Baking powder 1/2tsp
  4. Mawa 100 gms
  5. Eggs 2
  6. Butter 75gm
  7. Cardamom 1/2 tsp
  8. Vanilla essence 1tsp
  9. Milk 1/3cup

Instructions

  1. Sieve All purpose flour and baking powder.
  2. Preheat oven to 180°C
  3. Grease 9" loaf tin and line it with parchment paper.
  4. Beat butter, sugar and mawa for atleast 5 minutes to get fluffy batter.
  5. Add one egg at a time and beat after each addition.
  6. Add vanilla essence and cardamom.
  7. Add flour and baking powder mix and milk alternatively and mix well to get uniform texture.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes.
